Too Much Time in the Office: Part Deux

Once again, the stale air of the Kimpel Hall basement has gotten to co-editor Shannon Sanders' head. She's trying to fight the psychotic breakdown that comes with spending 10+ hours in the yearbook office by regressing to a childlike state. Keep her in your thoughts during these trying times....

Setting:
It's a beautiful summer day shortly before graduation. There are several designers in the yearbook office and Kimpel 119L is humming with activity. There are donuts on the desk and pages to proof. All seems well.

Until suddenly, there is a long ripping sound. The crinkle of paper follows. Ms. Sanders has taken the top page of my large desk calendar and is using it to fashion a paper airplane. This portion of the story is not without squeals of delight.

Much to her dismay however, Ms. Sanders is a far cry from experienced in the ways of paper airplane construction. Her first model was basically a 3-fold creation of death. She could have put some eyes out.

Fortunately, Traveler columnist, commencement speaker and man-about-town Gregory Karber was there to teach her the finer points in constructing proper airplanes. He even helped decorate her newly crafted vessel of speed and christened the plane "Shannon Air."

A test flight was of course in order. She flew beautifully. Like an eagle on a morning breeze. Gracefully, majestic, proud. Until Shannon threw her rather violently and she nosedived into the grass.

Shannon has also grounded a few kites in her day.
